From September 2023, works will commence in the Eastern (Woolworths) carpark.  These works are a culmination of multiple projects, including:

• The preparation of the new Woolworths Direct to Boot parking bays;
• Integration of a covered walkway to the new Bus Station on Mangrove Road (which will be completed by Mackay Regional Council and the Department of Main Roads); and
• Upgrade to the Centre’s entry, including a new (covered) disability access ramp, and upgraded stairs and tiling.

Despite these ongoing projects, the daily operations of the Centre will be minimally affected.  Access to the Centre’s entrance and Woolworths carpark will remain operational during trading hours throughout the project.

We do expect wheeled access to the Centre via this entrance to be affected for two weeks when the concrete is poured on the new ramp.  We will communicate further details once the timeframe is confirmed.

Local company, Woollams Construction, will be conducting the Centre’s Lessor works. Expected completion date is late March 2024.
